2. 🖥️ System Requirements
Before you install Team Assistant, make sure your environment meets the basic requirements. TAS is delivered as a ready-made virtual appliance in the .ova format, which you import into your virtualization platform — so you don't have to install an operating system or individual components manually. You just need to prepare a virtual machine with enough performance and disk space.
Hardware requirements
Recommended starting point for trying out and first running Team Assistant:
Parameters | Recommendation |
CPU | 4 vCPUs |
FRAME | 8GB |
Disk (installation) | approx. 20 GB for the installation itself |
Database and disk size
Team Assistant is installed together with a Microsoft SQL Server Express database, whose maximum database size is 50 GB .
The key thing to know is that files and documents are not stored in the database — they live on disk outside of it. Plan your disk accordingly:
- ~20 GB for the installation itself,
- space for the database holding process data (up to the 50 GB limit of the Express edition),
- and above all space for the documents you process or generate within workflows — this part grows with your usage.
Supported virtualization platforms
You import the .ova image into common virtualization platforms. The verified ones are:
- Proxmox VE
- Oracle VirtualBox
Browser access
Team Assistant runs in all common browsers and is fully responsive — users can access it from a computer or a mobile device without installing any additional software.
What's next?
Once your virtual machine is ready, continue to Installing Team Assistant .
